Basic play
- Play a card that matches the top card of the pile by suit or value.
- You can play several cards of the same value at once — the first one has to fit the pile.
- If you can't play, draw a card from the deck.
- A match starts with 5 cards each. A round goes on until only one player still has cards.
- The player left holding cards loses the round and gets one card fewer next round.
- Losing a round while playing with your last card means you are knocked out; the others play on.
- The last player standing wins the match and earns a 🏆 badge. A new match starts with 5 cards again.
Special cards
Burn
When the top of the pile holds 4 cards of the same value, they burn — the player gets another turn and the suit is set to “any”.
Rules FAQ
How many cards do you draw for a seven?
Three per seven. Sevens stack — answer a seven with another one and the next player draws 6, then 9, and so on.
Can an ace be countered?
Yes, with another ace. Skips do not add up: the number of aces played by the last player applies. The Green Under cancels an ace too.
What can the Green Under do?
You can play the Green Under any time, on anything. It cancels drawing for sevens and the skip for an ace. While it stays on top of the pile, the next player may play any card.
Can I play several cards at once?
Yes, if they share the same value — two nines or three sevens, for example. The first one has to fit the top card of the pile.
What is a burn?
When four cards of the same value meet on top of the pile, the pile burns. The player who burned it goes again and may play any card.
What happens when I lose a round?
You get one card fewer next round. Lose a round you started with a single card and you are knocked out. The last player standing wins the match.
Can I join a game in progress?
Yes. During a round you ask for a seat and the host lets you in; between rounds you sit down directly.
